Day Two hundred and fifty-two

I'm writing this post with mix emotions. Sadness. Grief. Relief. Peace.

This morning my dad went into the presence of Jesus and was transformed into a whole cancer-free man. I was blessed to be able to be with him and hold his hand during his last breaths.

Most of you will never know or understand the depth of which God's amazing grace has been at work in the lives of me, my Dad and my family. It's a story that I thought would never have a happy ending. It astonishes me how God can take a really hard situation and make it in to something beautiful.

I love you Dad,

Day Two hundred and fifty

The following verses are for my dad. He has been so restless lately. My biggest prayers for him have been that he would find peace and rest in Christ. Thank you for joining me in prayers for him.

"The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn His face toward you and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26

"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

"The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths
for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely Your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever." Ps. 23

Day Two hundred and forty-nine

This 4th of July has been brought to you by the brave men and women who sacrifice everyday to make sure our country stays free. Their sense of integrity, bravery, self-sacrifice and endurance is shown each and every day out in the battle field and at home supporting them.
Thank you for loving your country more than your own lives. I am truly grateful.

Let Freedom ring!!

Day Two hundred and forty-eight

Who would have thought that I would be out late on a July 3rd and enjoy as many fireworks as I do on the 4th of July. I love watching the colorful lights explode high about my head and the deep booms that rattle my bones. I can't wait to spend tomorrow night with my family. Wish my hubby and dad were able to join us. Don't worry we will blow some stuff up just for you Chris and Dad!

Tonight I had the privilege of enjoying the company of 2 really special friends. We ate yummy food~~if you haven't tried fried green beans then you haven't lived! We took a long walk and picked out our dream houses. We ended our long evening by sitting outside and chatting while fireworks danced in the sky around us. Life without good friends would be impossible to endure. I am blessed.

Thanks Lisa and Stacy for a wonderful evening. Love you!!

Day Two hundred and forty-seven

My over abundance of birthday cards.

Once again I have had my socks blessed off. My sweet friend Tiff sent messages to my Facebook friends and asked them to shower me with cards on my birthday. 34 wonderful cards came carrying encouragement, Bible verses and birthday wishes. Some made me laugh and some brought tears to my eyes.

There are not enough words to say how much I appreciate everyone who took the time to send me a card. By you taking that time to do something for me you have blessed me and helped me feel less alone and more loved. Thank you all so much!!!

I also what to say a BIG thank you to Chris' step dad, (Papa), and his wife, (Nana) for keeping the four girls overnight on my birthday day. It was so nice to have a whole 24 hours off. Especially since I was able to spend most of that time with my sister.

"Chris" and the present he gave me
for my birthday...a Bose iPod dock.
It sounds amazing!!
Thank you so much Honey!
I love you tons and tons!!

Day Two hundred forty-six

Yes, I know this is late. Due to the lack of internet access last night, I am posting this morning.
Anyway, without further ado Day 246.

Happy Birthday to me! My afternoon and evening was spent with my awesome friend Krista, my fun and wild sister, Janis and my super cool brother Jeremiah. Adventure, laughter, and fun conversation were had by all. It was an amazing oasis in this desert time of my life.

Krista and Janis~~Thank you so much for joining me on my birthday and for your support and hand holding. Love ya!!!

Jerm~~I love hanging out with you. You're my favorite brother in the whole wide world!! Love you!!
