The Sedlacek Family
I have mentioned this beautiful family in past posts. Sean has been undergoing dialysis 3 times per week since the summer of 2009. Right away they started praying and looking for the perfect kidney donor, but something always came up in the testing phase of each candidate. Sean and Rebecca never gave up hope. Their strength in and faithfulness to God is a testimony to many. Tomorrow before the sun even comes up, God in His perfect timing will be answering the prayers of the Sedlacek family. Sean will get his long awaited transplant! The donor of the precious kidney is coming from one of the first few candidates to offer and is Rebecca's mother.
Please pray for the Sedlacek family and for Barbara, the donor. That tonight as they lay down to sleep that God would cover them in His peace. Pray that all of the medical staff involved in both surgeries--from nurses to scrub techs to doctors--would also get a good night's sleep. That they would wake up totally refreshed and mentally prepared to take on the transplant. Ask God to guide the doctors hands, give them wisdom beyond their own ability, and that they would see God's hand at work during the procedures.
Lift up Rebecca as she is needing to be strong for both her husband and their kids. Ask God to give her a peace beyond her own understanding. Pray for God's comfort and strength to fill her.
Lift up their 3 kids. Pray for an easing of their fears. Ask that their hearts and minds will be filled with the knowledge that God IS bigger than any disease and any surgery.
Oh God,
You know what is going on within the hearts and minds of the Sedlacek family right now. I just lift them up to You. I ask that in Your gentleness that You would hold them close tonight. Let them feel Your presence as they sleep.
I pray for both Sean and Barbara's surgery tomorrow, that they would go better then the doctors expect them to. I ask that Your presence would fill the OR's.
Bring peace and comfort to the family members as they wait to hear how things are going. Let them see and feel Your hand both during the surgeries and the recovery. I pray that the recoveries go quickly and without any complications.
Thank you for Your faithfulness to the Sedlacek's. Thank you that Your timing is perfect, even when it is not our timing.
