day One hundred and ninety-four

A funny little story:
Today, while driving to pick up the big girls from school, Ruby and Zoe were playing Hide and Seek. Yes, you read that right...Hide and Seek. And yes, they sit side by side in car seats.
It was quite the sight to see and hear. Zoe would cover her eyes with her little hands and count "1, 2, 3, 9, 2" Then she would uncover her eyes and yell to Ruby, "I finda you!" Next would be Ruby turn. She would close her eyes and count to 10 and yell to Zoe, "I found you!"
This loud little merriment continued for 15 of the 19 miles to school. By the end of the game, I wanted to join in the fun.

Thank you God for blessing me with 4 beautiful girls. Thank you for helping me choose to enjoy Ruby and Zoe's little game, instead of asking them to just be quiet and stop yelling. Joy overtook frustration and smiles replaced scowls. Amen

  1. AMEN! Thanks for sharing the sweetness with the rest of us - and what an awesome way God blessed you to enjoy it! It can be SO tough for busy Mommas to slow down enough to relish those special moments - thanks for sharing and encouraging me tonight!
