Day Two hundred

I can't believe it--It's been 200 days since we started this journey.

200 days ago our normal life changed. We have been in a holding pattern ever since. While everyone else's life has gone on, ours is missing and waiting for Chris/Daddy to come home so we too can move forward. It would be nice to freeze everything as it was when he left, so he wouldn't have to miss out on anything. No missed holidays, birthdays, snuggles, loose teeth, words learned, scraped knees, good night kisses, and good morning hugs.

Sweetheart we love you so much! We can't wait to see you, to hug you, to kiss you and to have you back at home. Hang in there and we will hang in there too :)

Tonight, a couple of the Deployment Diva's came over to my house for a 2ooth day BBQ. I can't say we celebrated the fact that we haven't seen our hubby's for 200 days but we celebrated that fact that we have made it this far and the finish line is finally starting to come into view. DD's with God ALL things are possible!!

Our Guys

The DD's

Kendra brought a cake and put 200 candles
on it to show the girls how much 200 is.

They were only half done lighting the candles.

I wish I could have gotten all 6 kids blowing
out the candles, but they are too fast.
And yes, my smoke alarm went off.

The poor cake.

It still tastes good :)

The Aftermath!

We missed all of our other Deployment Diva's tonight. Keep day 300 clear on your calendar ladies. And I think we should skip 300 candles :) Or call the fire department beforehand to
warn them.

  1. Our "Divo" Raf, lives across the street from me. His wife is deployed in the same unit as the DD's hubby's.
